IBM has announced it is acquiring Red Hat, leading provider of open source cloud software. The acquisition positions IBM to accelerate hybrid multi-cloud adoption among its clients. Red Hat will become an individual unit within IBM’s Hybrid Cloud platform.

Freshworks has launched a Unified Marketplace to enable developers building customer engagement tools in one place. Initially launched as an app store for the Freshdesk product in 2016, the marketplace boasts of integrations across categories, including agent productivity, knowledge management, project tracking, reporting, and automation.
