Google launched BigQuery BI Engine, a tool for in-memory analysis. By using BI Engine, users can analyze data stored in BigQuery, Google’s analytics data warehouse, with sub-second query response time. Google is also updating its Google Docs suite so that Google Sheets, the web-based spreadsheet tool, can pull all the data needed from BigQuery. The new “connected sheets” have no row limits so they can accept a massive data set where billions of rows are needed, and be turned into pivot tables.
